About the Foundation

The Fresno State Foundation is one of seven auxiliary corporations formed in support of California State University, Fresno. As Fresno State becomes the premier engaged university for the New California, the Foundation’s mission advances the University’s strategic objectives by encouraging philanthropy, inspiring leadership and promoting fiscal accountability. Thus, the Foundation manages and administers assets that provide for such things as academic program revenue, student scholarships and faculty stipends.

In its management of gifts and investments, the Foundation’s priority has always been to preserve in perpetuity the purchasing power of its endowments and to make distribution according to donor intentions.

The Foundation also administers post-award grant and contract activity in support of quality research and regional partnerships and alliances.

It is overseen by a Board of Governors and managed by an Executive Director.
